One fine day I got an e-mail from someone at NRC Handelsblad (a Dutch newspaper). I opened the e-mail to read that our work had been noticed by one of their journalists. The newspaper is organizing a photo-contest this month with the theme ‘My City, My Town’ and Joke Beeckmans, the journalist, liked how our work makes you look at our cities in an original way.
During the interview we talked about how I would like to change the way we see things in our environment, how our interventions can also make you notice things we thought we have already seen. No matter who you are, what profession you have, it’s possible to see our world in a new perspective. If you give it a good try.
A funny coincidence with the subject of the interview (‘My City, My Town’ ) is that we recently moved cities ourselves. We’ve changed desks and now head to work in Rotterdam instead of Amsterdam. In Rotterdam, we started a collaboration project with the tech wizards at Hoog+Diep. Together we will make a “proof of concept” about ShootMe. Shootme is an idea that has been stuck in my head for so long and we are finally bringing the idea come to life. Interested in knowing more about ShootMe?
